Watch PRESERVE final video!

Plastic waste from food packaging is one of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time. Despite widespread efforts, only a small fraction of plastic waste is recycled, leaving a significant ecological footprint. However, change is on the horizon with the PRESERVE project, an EU-funded initiative that’s redefining sustainability in packaging.

Introducing our latest video

We’re thrilled to announce the release of a new video that takes you behind the scenes of PRESERVE’s groundbreaking journey. Here’s what you can expect to learn:

  • Innovative bio-based materials: Discover how PRESERVE is creating food packaging solutions with up to 85% bio-based materials. These innovations aim to reduce reliance on fossil-based plastics while offering versatile end-of-life options like recycling, upcycling, and composting.
  • Transformative applications: Learn how PRESERVE is testing and scaling up solutions that extend the life of packaging materials. For example, these materials can be repurposed into cosmetic containers or non-woven textiles, showcasing their adaptability and sustainability.
  • Data-driven impact: Every development is evaluated through rigorous Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) to ensure that the project’s solutions contribute to lower greenhouse gas emissions and align with circular economy principles.
